I cannot get my printer to connect to wireless because it asks for a Wep key and all routers today require wpa2 keys.  Does anyone know how to update printers wifi to wpa2?  I inherited the printer, but need to be able to print from apple 11maxpro phone. I can hardwire to printer from laptop, but I want the wireless to work.

Hi,

Older printers support older technologies, the printer was introduced in the early 2000s and is more limited.

The printer supports WPA (Not WPA2) or WEP security only, not any newer and more secured standards, see page 41 of its user guide:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00235090

You may change your router settings to a supported security option, or connect the printer to the router with a cable.

You may print to the printer using the HP Smart app which supports it:

Thanks. Guess my printer is just too old. It was a gift. I’ll just print using usb connector to computer.
