I recently purchased a Lenovo notebook computer running Windows 11. When I first loaded the drivers for my HP Officejet Pro 8625 the printing function was working fine. Today, it stopped printing wirelessly from the computer. I tried to open the HP Print and Scan Doctor but it will not download. I have reset my modem, router, computer, and printer. Oddly, when I ask to print out test pages the computer is able to communicate with the printer. I am about to delete the HP drivers and reload. Any help please?

Hi @boongie
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation. Since you've already reset your devices, here are some additional steps you can take to troubleshoot your HP Officejet Pro 8625 with your new Windows 11 PC:
1. Reinstall the Printer Drivers:
- Uninstall the existing HP printer drivers:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Find your printer, select it, and click Remove device.
- Download the latest drivers from the HP Support website specifically for Windows 11. Install the drivers and try printing again.
2. Check Network Connection:
- Ensure your printer is still connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Print a network configuration page from the printer to verify the connection.
3. Use the HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store. This can help manage printer settings and might simplify the connection process.
4. Set Printer as Default:
- Make sure your HP Officejet Pro 8625 is set as the default printer:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners and select your printer as the default.
5. Check Windows Update:
- Ensure that your Windows 11 system is fully updated, as updates can sometimes fix compatibility issues.
6. Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily:
- Sometimes, firewall settings can block printer communication. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software to see if that resolves the issue.
7. Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Run the Printer troubleshooter to see if it identifies and fixes any issues.
8. Restart Print Spooler Service:
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click, and select Restart.
9. Test Printing from Another Application:
- Try printing from a different application (e.g., Notepad or Word) to see if the issue is specific to a certain program.
10. Check for HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- If you're having trouble downloading it, try accessing it from a different browser or ensure your internet connection is stable. Alternatively, you can download it from another computer and transfer it via USB.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
