I changed Internet providers, an error message came up on my display.  I attempted to turn off and then turn the printer back on.  The power light is green, but the priner won't turn on now.

Hi @Rick519,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing technical difficulties with your printer after changing Internet providers. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds to a minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Physical Connections:

  • Ensure that all cables and connections are securely plugged in.
  • Make sure there are no loose or damaged cables.

Reset Network Settings:

  • If the error is related to the change in Internet providers, you may need to reset the printer's network settings.
  • Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to reset network settings.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed.
  • Visit the HP website and look for firmware updates for your specific printer model.

Factory Reset:

  • As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will erase all custom settings, so proceed with caution.
  • Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
