How do I unlock the wireless on my HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 so that any wireless device can connect to it? My wireless router is open. Any wireless devices can connect to the LAN w/out password.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you getting any error message while connecting the printer to the wireless router?
  • What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)? 
  • Could you share the screen where it's asking for the password? 

  • Are the printer and PC connected to the same network? 

  • Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? 

Our printer works with wpa/wpa2 security standards.
