Hi @Baxter_58, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The passphrase for your HP LaserJet 200 printer (or any HP printer with wireless capabilities) is typically the Wi-Fi Direct password or the network key (WPA2 key) if it's connected to your router.

Find the Wi-Fi Direct Passphrase

If you are trying to connect via Wi-Fi Direct, follow these steps:

Print a Network Configuration Page

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to Setup > Reports > Network Configuration Report and print it.
  • Look for Wi-Fi Direct Name and Wi-Fi Direct Password (default passphrase).

Check Printer's LCD Display

  • If your printer has a touchscreen, go to:
    Wireless > Wi-Fi Direct > Show Password

Reset the Wi-Fi Direct Password (if needed)

  • Go to Wi-Fi Direct settings on the printer's panel.
  • Select Change Password and set a new one.

Find the Network (WPA2) Passphrase

If your printer is connected to your router but asks for a passphrase:

  • Use your router's WPA2 password (found on the router label or admin panel).
  • If the router password doesn’t work, check if the printer is on a different network (like a guest network).
  • Restart the printer and router, then try connecting again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
