HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a

The HP Smart ap on my new Android phone won't recognize nor will it allow me to add my HP 8600 printer. My network config page shows Network status as "ready".  It's on the correct wireless wifi(same as my phone's )Wireless Direct Network Name lists my printer name "HP Officejet Pro 8600."

I've redone the wireless hook up on the printer 100 times - no change.

My phone shows my printer as a possible wi-fi as well as the Spectrum 64 wifi we use for everything.

Hi @DaveA8

Connect your Officejet 8600 printer to your 2.4G Network, because the printer is more compatible to work with that network.

Also make sure your phone is connected to the same network.

Thank you for responding. Note I have done this setup. It shows me it is on the correct Wi-Fi which is Spectrum 64 as shown in the picture above. HP Smart can't locate it. The printer and wifi modem are 2' apart. I use Spectrum 64 for everything. I have been printing this way for a few years. Problem started about when I got a new android Motorola phone. My other Motorola phones worked just fine.

Any ideas? That picture shows what my phone recognizes when I scan for local wifis. Why would my printer show up as a wifi?

Again I printed off my Network Config Page this is what I get. Does it look ok?
