Officejet pro 9025e won't print 5x7 photos from hp Laptop or iPhone 13 pro. The picture is missing half or more of the subject. I don't have Norton 365 installed on my computer or iPhone. I have restored my printer to factory settings and this did not help in any way. Please help.

Hi @MichaelLouis,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Printer Configuration:
- Ensure that your printer settings are set to the correct photo paper size. You can do this by checking the printer settings on both your laptop and iPhone.
- If you are using the HP Smart app, make sure it reflects the correct paper size settings.
Verify Photo Paper:
- Ensure you are using compatible photo paper for your printer. HP printers work best with HP photo paper.
- Confirm that the paper is loaded correctly into the photo tray.
Software and Driver Updates:
- Make sure your laptop and iPhone are running the latest OS updates.
- Visit the HP Support website to check for any printer firmware updates or updated drivers for the OfficeJet Pro 9025e that might resolve compatibility issues.
iPhone Printing:
- For printing from your iPhone, ensure you are using AirPrint if available. This is Apple's built-in wireless printing protocol.
- Confirm that your iPhone is connected to the same network as your printer.
Test with Different Application:
- Try printing using different applications or photo viewers to ensure the issue isn't related to a specific application.
Print Quality Settings:
- Double-check the print quality settings and ensure they are configured for photo printing and not draft mode.
I hope this helps.

Thank you for the trouble shooting steps. I've done all of those & tried printing a photo from HP Smart. I still get half of a picture. I'm running Windows 11 on my HP Laptop (HP Spectre Model 8265NGW) and printing to my HP (Officejet Pro 9025e) printer. I even downloaded Corel Paintshop to see if this new app would work. But still getting a half image of my photo. I'm wondering if I should get a HP photo printing consultant to try to resolve this problem, as I'm beyond frustrated. I have young grandchildren that I would like to print out pictures of them - but can't. So what type of HP consultant would do this kind of work - if I look for a consultant. I'm out of my depth here and would appreciate any more advice of my problem or a consultant. Thank you.

Hi @MichaelLouis,
Thanks so much for your detailed follow-up, and I can completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially when all you want is to print photos of your grandchildren.
I’m really sorry you're going through this, and I’m here to help you find a path forward.
First, a few final technical checks (in case one got missed):
Paper Size Mismatch
In both the HP Smart app and your printer’s driver settings (on Windows 11), double-check:
Paper size is set to 5x7 (not A5 or 4x6).
Borderless printing is either enabled or disabled depending on your preference, mismatches here can cause cropping or partial images.
Scaling or "Fit to Page" options are correctly selected.
Tray Selection
Make sure the correct paper tray is selected (if using a secondary tray for photo paper). On some models, manual photo tray use may default back to plain paper if the tray isn't sensed correctly.
Print Preview Confirmation
In HP Smart or PaintShop, use “Print Preview” before printing. If the preview also shows a cropped image, it’s likely an app/driver scaling conflict, not the printer itself.
Try HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows)
This free tool can often auto-detect and fix scaling, print driver, and communication issues:

I hope this helps.

All solutions have not worked. I've tried them all and I still get a half or less of the picture I'm trying to print on 5x7 hp photo paper. Also, sometimes I get black vertical streaks on the back of the picture that bleeds into the picture. So beyond frustration!!!
