My Samsung XPress SL-M2875DW printer has in Menu a Network option, WiFi is On, yet because there's no touchpad I can't enter a router password to connect my printer to the nearby Asus router. Without such connection, I cannot enable AirPrint and as a result my iPhone 11, now running iOS 17,5,1, cannot find any AirPrint printer. My Samsung Printer is on the "AirPrint compatible list.".

Click here for network setup using HP Smart but in a different language
You may need to reset the printer: video here
network connect video
Simple push button or WPS setup is described on page 168 of Users Manual
Printer can run at 2.4ghz and possibly at 5ghz. I mention possibly because I read there are problems at 5ghz. Make the printer use only the 2.4ghz band. At the printers control panel look for the option to select 2.4, 5ghz or "auto" and select 2.4. If the printer does not have those options then you will have to log into the modem and rename one of the bands.

Thank you for answering. HP no longer servicing so I rely on this Community. My printer has no options for ghZ bands. Three weeks ago, With help of an Apple tech support we tried to use WPS. I would hold a button on router but didn’t resolve. The thing is, I have a blue light on the pruner, below the small rectangle message window, indicating a good Wireless connection and the Status light adjacent to it is solid yellow, not blinking.. and, under “Network” on Control Panel”, WiFi Direct is “connected”. I’m reluctant to do anything with my modem other than reboot it. What else should I be doing in this situation. I hope you are able to respond, you posted only response to my original post. Thank you, again

If you have WiFi Direct enabled then the printer does not use the modem
Every device will communicate directly to the printer and each device (up to maximum of 3) must be on the same band. If your iPhone is on the 5ghz band and the wifi direct of the printer is on the 2.4ghz band you will not be able to print.
Reference page 192 of Samsung guide
• After setting up Wi-Fi Direct from the printer, refer to the user manual of the mobile device you are using to set its Wi-Fi Direct. • After setting up Wi-Fi Direct, you need to download the mobile printing application (For example: Samsung Mobile printer) to print from your smartphone. |
page 196 shows how to download the Samsung mobile Print app
I really recommend you connect the printer to the modem and not use WiFi direct unless you can get all devices to use thes same wifi band.
