My printer (HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless) continually starts up and prints largely blank pages with heading such as GET/cdm/system/v1/status HTTP/1.1 and others. What fixes can make this stop?

Hi @damasato,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your printer might be experiencing a communication issue with its network or receiving incorrect data. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.
- Restart Your Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
- Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. If it's a wireless printer, check the Wi-Fi settings and reconnect if necessary. You may also try connecting it via Ethernet cable to see if the issue persists.
- Update Printer Firmware: Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can often resolve various issues, including communication problems.
- Clear Print Queue: There might be some pending print jobs stuck in the print queue, causing the printer to continually print blank pages. Go to the print queue on your computer, cancel all pending print jobs, and then try printing again.
- Reset Printer Settings: You can try resetting your printer to its factory defaults.
- Check for Driver Updates: Make sure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause communication errors between the printer and the computer.
- Check for Malware: It's possible that your printer is receiving erroneous data due to malware or viruses on your network. Run a thorough antivirus scan on all devices connected to your network, including your printer.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and hopefully resolve the issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi Alden4,
now everything´s working again.
I deleted the printer, deleted all the HP-software on my PC , restarted the PC and restarted also my printer.
Win10 recognized my printer without installing anything at all.
Besides, the printer always worked well with Linux. So, it was a problem with Windows.
THX & have a nice day!
