Hi @kdeason226 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer showing as offline on a Windows 10 Pro operating system, here are some additional steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or through a stable network connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
  • If using a wired connection, check the cables to make sure they are securely connected.

Printer Status:

  • Open the Control Panel on your computer and navigate to "Devices and Printers."
  • Right-click on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 and check if it shows as the default printer. If not, set it as the default printer.

Restart Print Spooler:

  • Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type "services.msc" and press Enter.
  • Locate "Print Spooler" in the list, right-click on it, and select "Restart."

Printer Software:

  • Ensure that you have the latest drivers and software installed for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. Visit the HP official website to download and install the latest drivers.

Printer Queue:

  • Open the Control Panel, go to "Devices and Printers," right-click on your printer, and select "See what's printing."
  • If there are any pending print jobs, cancel them. Sometimes, a stuck print job can cause the printer to appear offline.

Firewall/Antivirus Software:

  • Check your firewall or antivirus software settings to make sure they are not blocking communication with the printer.

Network Issues:

  • If you are using a network connection, check if other devices on the same network can communicate with the printer. Ensure there are no network connectivity issues.

IP Configuration (if using a network connection):

  • If your printer has a static IP address, make sure it's correctly configured. You can check and modify the IP settings on the printer through its control panel or the web interface.

Reinstall Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your computer and reinstall it. To do this, go to "Devices and Printers," right-click on your printer, and select "Remove device." Then reinstall the printer using the provided software or Windows settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
