Hi @pricilar,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

From what you’ve described, your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 indicates a successful Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection, and the wireless network test confirms it's connected without issue. Despite this, your computer believes the printer is offline.

Here’s what we recommend to bring your printer back online:

1.  Restart Everything:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it for 30 seconds.
  • Restart your computer and Wi-Fi router.
  • Plug the printer back in and power it on.

2. Check the Printer's Status on Your Computer:

  • On your PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 and ensure "Use Printer Offline" is unchecked.
  • If it’s listed more than once, delete any duplicates and keep only the one marked as “Ready” or “Default.”

3. Set as Default Printer:

  • Still in Devices and Printers, right-click your HP 7740 and select "Set as default printer".

4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

5. Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
