Installed new Instant Ink Cartridges in Sept. Since then, the WPS BUTTON is flashing red Msgs. No DNS, Not connected to the internet. Verizon Wifi/Internet changed the internet name and password. We turned off everything and after a few mins. wait turned it all back on. Still not printing, it won't make copies either. I'm asking to find out after all this work, is the printer broke?

Hi @DeeJay01,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how frustrating it can be when you've already put in a lot of effort to troubleshoot the issue and still can't get the printer to work. It sounds like you're dealing with a connectivity issue, so let's try to pinpoint the problem together.
- After your internet name and password were changed, did you try reconnecting the printer to the new Wi-Fi network?
- Is the printer showing any specific error messages on its display, aside from the flashing red WPS button?
- Have you tried using the HP Smart app or the printer’s web interface to reconnect or troubleshoot the connection?
Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.
Let's try these steps.
Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi Network:
- Since the Wi-Fi name and password have changed, you’ll need to reconnect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
- On the printer, press and hold the WPS button for 3-5 seconds, and then initiate WPS on your router to establish the connection.
Use HP Smart App to Reconnect:
- Download the HP Smart app on your mobile device or computer, and attempt to set up or reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network via the app.
- This will guide you through the setup and ensure the printer is linked correctly to the new Wi-Fi credentials.
Check the Printer’s Network Status:
- Print a Network Configuration page directly from the printer to see if it’s connected to the Wi-Fi. You can usually do this from the printer's control panel by selecting Setup > Network > Print Network Configuration.
- If the printer shows a connection issue, try re-entering the Wi-Fi details manually.
Reset the Printer’s Network Settings:
- If the printer still doesn't connect, perform a network reset to erase previous network settings.
- To reset, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer for about 10 seconds until the light starts blinking rapidly, then follow the prompts to reconnect to the Wi-Fi.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure that the printer firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve connectivity issues, especially after network changes.
- You can update the firmware via the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP support site.
