Hi @beckyjo96,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP ENVY 4520 is printing an unwanted configuration page due to a scheduled task or a setting that's causing it to print during the night. Here are a few steps you can take to stop this from happening.
Check for Scheduled Print Jobs:
- Open the HP Smart app or Printers & Scanners settings on your computer.
- Look for any scheduled print jobs or maintenance tasks. Some printers are set to perform internal maintenance (like printing configuration pages) at night.
Disable Automatic Maintenance:
- Go to your printer's control panel.
- Navigate to Settings or Setup.
- Look for options like Auto Maintenance or Scheduled Maintenance, and turn off any scheduled tasks that might cause it to print automatically.
Check Wi-Fi Direct or Network Settings:
- If your printer is connected via Wi-Fi Direct or a similar feature, it may print configuration pages during network setup or status updates.
- You can disable Wi-Fi Direct or Network Configuration Page Printing in the printer’s settings.
Firmware Update:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, printing issues are fixed in firmware updates. You can check this in the HP Smart app or through the printer's control panel.
Reset the Printer:
- If nothing else works, try performing a reset of the printer to clear any settings that might be causing this issue:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons for about 10 seconds.
- Release the buttons, and turn the printer back on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
