Hi @Meleni,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with your HP printer showing as unavailable on the application despite being connected to the same Wi-Fi network, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Restart your smartphone or the device running the HP printer application.

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure that both your printer and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, devices may connect to different networks, causing communication issues.

Printer Status:

  • Check the display on your printer for any error messages or warnings. Resolve any issues displayed on the printer screen.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check the HP support website for your printer model and follow the instructions to update the firmware.

Restart Router:

  • Power cycle your Wi-Fi router. Turn it off, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help resolve connectivity issues.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Smart app on your smartphone. This can help clear any temporary issues with the application.

Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi:

  • On your printer, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings and forget the current network. Then, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network and check if the printer becomes available on the app.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Check the settings on your router, firewall, or antivirus software to ensure they are not blocking communication between the printer and the app.

Check Printer IP Address:

  • Check the IP address assigned to your printer and ensure it is within the same network range as your phone. If necessary, set a static IP address for your printer.

Remember to consult your printer's manual or the HP support website for model-specific instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
