@1k4, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Fixing Wireless Connection Issues on HP Printers!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP printer is not forgetting the old connection and you are trying to connect it to a new Wi-Fi network, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Restart your Devices

  1. Power off the printer.
  2. Power off your computer or mobile device.
  3. Restart the router. Wait for three minutes.
  4. Turn on the computer or mobile device.
  5. Power on the printer and wait for five minutes.
  6. Attempt to connect the printer again.

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer

To put your HP printer into Wi-Fi setup mode, follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless button on your printer for around 20 seconds or until the light begins to blink.
  2. The printer restarts and the Wireless light starts blinking.

Note: The printer will remain in Wi-Fi setup mode for two hours. Within this time, add the printer to your computer or mobile device using the HP Smart app.

Remove the Printer

Remove the printer from the 'Printers & scanners' settings menu on your device. If you have the HP Smart app, remove the printer by right clicking or pressing and holding the printer image, and then select Hide Printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
