I have a HP deskjet 3772 printer that will not connect to the internet .

I understand you’re having trouble connecting your HP DeskJet 3772 printer to the internet. I’m happy to help you get this sorted out. Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps to get your printer back online:

 

Restart Everything:
– Turn off your printer, Wi-Fi router, and computer (or phone).
– Wait about 30 seconds, then turn them back on, starting with the router.

Check Wi-Fi Connection:
– Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working correctly by testing it on another device (like your phone).
– Ensure the printer is within range of the router and not blocked by walls or other objects.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
– On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button together until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking.
– Open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer, and follow the prompts to reconnect the printer.

Check for Firmware Updates:
– Open the HP Smart app, go to Printer SettingsAdvanced SettingsToolsCheck for Updates and install any available updates.

 

Please answer these for me:

  1. Are you getting any specific error messages on the printer or in the HP Smart app?
  2. Is the Wi-Fi light on the printer blinking or solid, and what color is it (blue, amber, etc.)?
  3. Have you recently changed your Wi-Fi password or router?
