Hi @Dolphin29,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your printer may have lost its connection to the WiFi network or the credentials it has stored may not be accurate anymore. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and reconnect your printer to the WiFi.
Restart Both Devices
- Restart your printer: Power off the printer for about 30 seconds and turn it back on.
- Restart your router: Unplug the router for about 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Restart your iPhone.
Reconnect the Printer to WiFi
You may need to reconnect your printer to the WiFi manually:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wireless Settings or WiFi Setup.
- Choose your WiFi network (SSID) and enter your WiFi password carefully.
- Wait for the printer to confirm the connection.
Check Printer Network Settings
Print a Wireless Network Test or Network Configuration Page from your printer. This will help ensure the printer is connected to the correct WiFi network. Most printers have this option in the wireless or network settings menu.
Forget and Re-add WiFi on iPhone
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Tap on your WiFi network, then tap Forget this Network.
- Reconnect to your WiFi by entering your password again.
Reset Network Settings on the Printer
- If the problem persists, perform a network reset on the printer.
- Look for a Restore Network Settings option in your printer’s settings menu. This option will clear any previous WiFi settings.
- After the reset, reconnect the printer to your WiFi using the steps above.
Check for Firmware Updates
- Ensure that both your printer and iPhone are running the latest firmware or software. You can check for updates on your printer via the settings menu or on HP’s website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
