HP smart tank plus 651, amazon fire tablet .........when I print remotely from my tablet, I am told on my tablet to give permission to the printer to print by pushing the printer's screen within a certain number of seconds ot it will not print. I want it to print without having to do this. How can I set the printer up to print automatically??

@Sherry13611, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding remote printing without permission!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The HP Smart Tank Plus 651 printer requires manual confirmation for remote printing due to security settings. To bypass this and enable automatic printing, try the following steps:

1. Check Printer Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Settings > Preferences > Privacy.
  • Look for an option related to Remote Printing or Confirm Before Printing and disable it (if available).

2. Enable HP ePrint:

  • Ensure HP ePrint is enabled, which allows you to print by sending an email to the printer.
  • Log in to your HP Smart account (HP Smart) and check if ePrint is active.

3. Disable ‘Prompt for Permission’ in HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your Amazon Fire Tablet.
  • Go to Printer Settings.
  • Check for any security settings related to confirmation before printing and disable them.

Let me know if this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
