Hi @Bryan651,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- Find the printer's IP address. You can usually find this on the printer's display panel or by printing a network configuration page.
- Open a web browser on your computer and enter the printer’s IP address in the address bar to access the EWS.
Navigate to the Security Tab:
- Once inside the EWS, look for the "Security" tab. This is where you can manage passwords and other security settings.
Reset the Password:
- Look for an option labeled "Password" or "Administrative Password".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset or change the password. You may be required to provide the current password if there is one set.
Factory Reset (if necessary):
- If you are unable to access the settings because of a forgotten password, you might need to perform a factory reset.
- Refer to the printer's user guide for specific instructions on performing a factory reset. This process will erase all custom settings on the device.
I hope this helps.
