Hi
I am trying to access the web services from the EWS page, but I seem to have a custom printer password in place that I do not remember setting up. I have tried 'admin' as suggested on another thread, but that did not work. Does anyone know how to reset this password?

Hi @KikeRes,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the administrator password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer, you can follow these steps.
Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults:
- From the Printer's Control Panel:
- On the printer’s control panel, tap the Setup icon (gear or wrench).
- Go to Printer Maintenance.
- Select Restore or Factory Defaults. This will reset the printer’s settings to the original factory state, including the admin password.
Access the Printer's EWS (Embedded Web Server):
- If you have access to the printer's EWS but are locked out due to the admin password, you can use the following method:
- Make sure the printer is connected to the network.
- Open a web browser on your computer.
- Enter the printer’s IP address into the browser’s address bar (you can find the IP address on the printer’s control panel under Network settings).
- If prompted for a password and you are unsure of the custom password, follow the factory reset steps.
Check for Default Passwords:
- After resetting, if you still need the default password, it is usually admin, but sometimes 12345678 or 00000000 can also work.
Remember that resetting the printer to factory defaults will erase all custom settings, so you will need to reconfigure your network settings and any other preferences after the reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
