Hi @Standingbear357,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've forgotten the password for your HP Envy printer and need to reset it, you can follow these general steps. Keep in mind that the steps may vary slightly depending on your specific printer model, so it's a good idea to consult your printer's user manual for model-specific instructions.

Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Connect your computer or mobile device to the same network as your printer.
  • Open a web browser and enter the IP address of your printer into the address bar. The IP address can usually be found on the printer's control panel or in the network settings.
  • Press Enter to access the Embedded Web Server.

Log in to the EWS:

  • If you have set a password and forgotten it, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer (consult your printer manual for instructions on how to do this). This will typically clear any password settings, allowing you to log in with default credentials.
  • If you haven't set a password, you may be able to access the EWS without entering any credentials.

Change the Password:

  • Once logged into the Embedded Web Server, navigate to the Security or Password section. The exact location of this option may vary.
  • Look for an option to change the password. Enter a new password and confirm it.

Save Changes:

  • After setting the new password, make sure to save your changes.

Reconnect Devices:

  • If you changed the password, you may need to update the password on any devices that use the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
