I have a hp officejet pro 8600 printer that sometimes does not complete the entire print job. Says Finished. Printing unsuccessful. It often just prints a blank page. I have this printer connected to my wireless network and this problem occurs when printing from my Samsung phone running Android os 12. This can occur even when using the HP Smart App. I've also tried to print from with the document's say Acrobat since it's a pdf.
Note: this is not a new occurrence as it happens occasionally as I've had this machine for many years.

@DK_8600, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Printing Issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer is frequently reporting "Finished. Printing unsuccessful" and often prints blank pages, especially when printing from an Android device, here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Ensure Printer Firmware is Up-to-Date
Check if your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause connectivity and printing issues. You can update the firmware through the printer's control panel or by visiting the HP support page.
2. Check Wireless Connection
Ensure that your printer is correctly connected to your wireless network. A weak or intermittent connection can cause printing failures. Try restarting your router and printer to refresh network settings.
3. Use HP Smart App
While you mentioned using the HP Smart App, ensure it is the latest version. Sometimes, an update can resolve compatibility issues with newer phone operating systems.
4. Clear Print Queue
From your Android device, you can clear the print queue to remove any pending or stuck jobs that may be causing issues.
5. Reinstall Printer Drivers
Uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers on your Android device. This can help resolve any driver-related issues.
6. Print from Another Device
Try printing from a different device, such as a laptop or another mobile phone, to determine if the problem persists. If it only occurs on your Samsung phone, it might be a device-specific issue.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
