The printer still has the previous provider router in its memory. How can I reset the printer to factory settings?

I have just lost five hours of my life with same problem - which I have now resolved!

I changed network & the printer was still trying to connect to old one:- so obviously showing constantly as offline.  I tried all sorts, as seemed obvious to me that there would just be a section somewhere to change the printers connection to the new network.  I was wrong!  I tried uninstalling & reinstalling both printer & HP Smart, the printer has used about 30 sheets of paper telling me various settings info - but still wouldn't connect to the new network.

What you need to do (which for me, took all of 5-mins in the end: after hours of frustration):

Reset the printer, mine has no display so this was done by holding both the wifi & information buttons at same time. (I understand for some printers this would be the wifi button + the start copy black buttons)

Then all I did was press the WPS button on the new router & the connection was made to the printer - it's now (touch wood) all up & running....

I hope this works for you
