I cannot read my control panel as it is in Chinese.  I need to change the language of the control panel from Chinese to English and cannot do this form the control panel.  Is there another way to change the language on my printer other than from the control panel?

Hi @BidandMade,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're unable to change the language of your HP Smart Tank 7602 printer directly from the control panel due to it being in Chinese and you don't understand the options, you can try the following steps.

  • Using HP Smart App: If you have the HP Smart App installed on your smartphone or tablet, you may be able to change the language settings through the app.
  • Web Interface: Some HP printers have a web interface that allows you to access settings and configurations. You can try connecting your printer to your computer via a USB cable or through Wi-Fi and then accessing the printer's web interface through a web browser. Once you're logged in, look for language settings and change it to English.
  • Resetting the Printer: If the above methods don't work, you can try resetting the printer to its factory settings. This will revert all settings back to default, including the language. However, please note that this will also erase any custom settings you've made. To reset the printer, refer to the printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
