Hi @Hmdopson,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

Can you elaborate on the broken screen?

Are you referring to physical damage?

If the touchscreen on your HP OfficeJet 4630 is broken and you need to connect the printer to Wi-Fi, you can try the following methods to retrieve the Wi-Fi information or connect the printer:

1. Use HP Smart App

  • If your printer was previously set up and connected to a network, you might be able to manage it through the HP Smart app on your smartphone or tablet.
  • Download the HP Smart app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  • Open the app, and it should automatically detect your printer if it’s on the same network. From there, you can access network settings and obtain the Wi-Fi credentials.

2. Print a Network Configuration Page

  • You can print a network configuration page that usually contains the Wi-Fi password and other network information:
    • Method 1: If the printer has physical buttons, you may be able to press the Wi-Fi button (it might look like a wireless signal icon) and the Information button (a small "i" icon) at the same time to print the configuration page.
    • Method 2: If you cannot access the touchscreen, you may need to find the default settings using a physical reset, but this method may not work on all printers.

3. Use WPS for Wireless Connection

  • If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can connect the printer to the Wi-Fi network without entering a password:
    • Locate the WPS button on your router.
    • Press the WPS button on your router, then immediately press the Wi-Fi button on your printer (if accessible). This should establish a connection automatically.

4. Manual Connection via USB

  • If the touchscreen is completely non-functional, consider connecting the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
  • Install the printer software from the HP support website.
  • Once the software is installed, you should be able to set up the printer and connect it to Wi-Fi through your computer.

5. Reset the Printer

  • If none of the above options work, you may consider resetting the printer to its factory settings. However, this will remove any existing settings and you’ll need to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network afterward.
  • To reset, unplug the printer, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in. Once powered on, hold the Cancel and Wi-Fi buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds (if the buttons are still responsive).

By following these steps, you should be able to connect your HP OfficeJet 4630 to Wi-Fi even without a functioning touchscreen.

If you're still unable to connect the printer to Wi-Fi, it may be best to contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
