I've changed internet providers and am unable to connect my printer to my new wifi.

I've tried restoring factory settings by opening the cartridge and pressing down on the power and wifi buttons at the back of the printer with no success (the lights stay the same, and the buttons only seem to go down only a few millimeters - is this normal or are they jammed?).

Ok I've managed to restore factory settings, connect to wifi and have printed a Printer Information Page with the tech specs for the printer. I'm now following the set up on the HP Smart app but when I input the password on the Printer Informaiton Page, I get an error message stating it's incorrect. My sign-in session has now been locked. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

I understand that you want to reset the printer, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
