@Tarheelinjax, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Smart Tank 7302 printer is experiencing intermittent Wi-Fi connection issues, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem:

Verify Wi-Fi Connectivity:

  • Ensure your printer is within 8 meters (or 26 feet) of your Wi-Fi router or range extender for optimal signal strength.
  • Check for a Wi-Fi icon on the control panel. If it is blinking, the printer is in "Wi-Fi Setup Mode" but not connected to the network.

Restart Your Devices:

  • Restart both your printer and computer. Restarting can clear any temporary errors affecting the printer.
  • Turn off your printer, unplug the power cord, and wait for about 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Reset Printer Network Settings:

  • For HP Smart Tank 7300 series, press and hold the "Information" button for 5 seconds until the control panel buttons light up.
  • Then, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons at the same time for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light blinks blue. This will restore the printer to "Wi-Fi Setup Mode."

Connect using HP Smart App:

  • Ensure you have the HP Smart app installed from 123.hp.com or your app store.
  • Open HP Smart and make sure Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your device.
  • Add your printer by selecting "Add Printer" on the app and follow the prompts to connect your printer to the network.

Run Diagnose & Fix (for Windows and Mac):

  • Use the built-in Diagnose & Fix tool in HP Smart to troubleshoot. Open the tool and select "Start" to begin diagnosing issues.

Network Configuration:

  • Check that the printer and your device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure that the printer power cable is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
