@Dave8210, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PIN Requirement for HP Printers!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It appears that your HP printer is asking for an 8-digit PIN for security authentication, and your new PIN exceeds this limit. HP printers typically require a PIN that is exactly 8 digits long for such configurations.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Create a New PIN: Create a PIN that is exactly 8 digits.
  2. Update Printer Settings: Use this new 8-digit PIN to configure your printer settings.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
