HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One Printer

Hi, recently my printer decided to stop printing after just starting a print request. I have been unable to print since, although my wife could by using her smartphone. But even that has now stopped.

The printer has the wifi button  blinking and the info button is permanently on and the message screen has a flashing message icon showing.

Pressing the info button produces a quick set up guide which when tried proves unsuccessful and the info button stays on

Any suggestions as it's becoming an issue and is very frustrating.

Hi @Calstu,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like there might be a connectivity issue with your HP DeskJet 2710e All-In-One Printer. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer and smartphone.
  • Make sure that the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the blinking Wi-Fi button persists.

Restart Wi-Fi Router:

  • Restart your Wi-Fi router to ensure a fresh connection. This can often resolve connectivity issues.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • Access the printer's settings on the control panel.
  • Navigate to the Wi-Fi setup menu and reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. If so, follow the instructions to update the firmware.

Printer Software:

  • Make sure that the printer software on your computer is up to date. You can download the latest drivers and software from the HP official website.

Factory Reset:

  • As a last resort, you might consider performing a factory reset on your printer. Be aware that this will reset all settings on the printer, including Wi-Fi settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Alden4,

The printer can print when my family use their phones. The problem is that when I try to print using my tablet it doesn't.

I tried the link to firmware updates and when I tried to download, it advised my device was not compatible.

Can I try any thing else
