Hi @Irmacor3165

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Wi-Fi Network

Ensure your Wi-Fi network is working properly:

  • Make sure your router is on and has an active internet connection.
  • Verify that other devices (like phones or laptops) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi.
  • If you're using a dual-band router, ensure that your printer is compatible with either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band (most printers support only 2.4 GHz).

2. Restart Your Printer and Router

Sometimes a simple restart can help resolve connectivity issues:

  • Power cycle your printer by turning it off, waiting 30 seconds, and then turning it back on.
  • Restart your router by unplugging it, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in.

3. Check Printer Wi-Fi Settings

Make sure your printer is set up to connect to the right Wi-Fi network:

  • On your printer's display, navigate to the Network Settings or Wi-Fi Setup.
  • Select the correct Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password if prompted.

If your printer has a Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button:

  • Press the WPS button on your router.
  • On the printer, select the WPS setup option from the network menu.
  • The printer should connect automatically.

4. Use HP Smart App for Wi-Fi Setup

If you have an HP printer, you can try using the HP Smart app to set up the Wi-Fi connection:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
  • Open the app, select your printer, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to Wi-Fi.

5. Reset Network Settings on Printer

If the above steps don't work, try resetting the network settings on your printer:

  • Look for an option in the printer settings menu to Restore Network Defaults or Reset Network Settings.
  • After resetting, go through the Wi-Fi setup process again.

6. Check for Firmware Updates

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
