Laser Jet 1525nw Color
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have an older laser jet color printer. I can’t complete my wireless connection. I think it is because it is NOT 5G. I have two WiFi options (one 5G and the other 2.5). I don’t know how to force it to connect to the 2.5. I have uninstalled and reinstalled software and drivers several times. I have used every option of help available to me. Can anyone provide some insight on this?

@DHames

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are the printer and PC connected to the same network?

  • Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz?
    Note: Printer only supports 2.4GHz Wireless. Therefor you need to connect to 2.4GHz name.

I suggest contacting your ISP can enable 2.4GHz too, assuming your router supports dual-band 5 and 2.4GHz

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
