Generally, Yes.
The printer is unaware of what it is printing.
Settings and available options depend on the software / application you are using to submit the job to the printer.
Example - Adobe Reader DC - PDF print - document
Depending on the content, Paper, Print Size, and the application you are using,
"Fit" (Shrink) may - or may not - result in the output you want / expect
