Hi @karmen3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here are steps to troubleshoot and connect your HP DeskJet printer to your new wireless Wi-Fi network.

Restart Devices

  1. Turn off your printer, router, and computer or mobile device.
  2. Wait for 1 minute, then turn on your router.
  3. After the router is fully operational, turn on the printer and your device.

Check Printer Network Settings

Ensure the printer is in Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • For many HP DeskJet printers, press and hold the Wi-Fi button (or Wireless button) and the Power button together for about 3-5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking.
  • Alternatively, check your printer manual for specific instructions.

Print a Network Configuration Report:

  • Press and hold the Information button or Cancel + Wireless buttons together.
  • Check the report to see the printer’s status.

Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi

  1. Download the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
    • HP Smart App Download Link
  2. Open the app, click Set up a new printer, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Ensure your mobile/computer is on the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to connect to.

Reset Network Settings on the Printer

If the printer does not appear in the app:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button until the wireless light blinks.
  2. Retry the setup using the HP Smart app.

Manually Add the Printer to Your Device

  1. On your computer, open Settings > Printers & Scanners (Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (Mac).
  2. Click Add Printer and look for your printer in the list.
  3. If it doesn’t appear, select Add Printer by IP Address and enter the printer’s IP address from the Network Configuration Report.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
