We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Hi, My Printer is permanently offline, I've tried everything to re install it. My wifi is good but  the printer will not connect. I had to connect a usb lead but now it's run out of ink, having paid monthly for ink, I'm not receiving it as I'm offline. So... in short... I have a printer that is not working, NO ink... and NO phone number to call for help in the UK. I'm, ready to throw it out the window

@ENVYJK3, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the printer is not connected to the internet and hence you are not receiving replacement inks from Instant Ink.

Yes, for the Instant Ink service to work, the printer has to be connected to the internet.

You may use the WPS button to connect the printer.

Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document -  Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

You may also refer to - HP printer setup (Wi-Fi network) and HP printer setup (HP Smart app)

Use the HP Smart app to print.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
