I AM CONSTANTLY UNABLE TO PRINT BECAUSE OF SOME BS CONNECTION ISSUE.  i do NOT WANT MY PRINTER TO ACCESS ANY NETWORK.  . I want to print the way everyone always has - plugged in.  How do I get these **bleep** lights to quit bllinkiing and print the document i needed 3 hours ago????!!!

I understand how frustrating it can be to deal with connection issues when all you want to do is print a document. Let's try to resolve this so you can use your HP DeskJet 3772 All-In-One Printer with a direct USB connection and avoid any network-related issues.

 

Here's how you can set up your printer to work only via a USB connection and disable any web access features:

 

Disable Wireless on the Printer:

  • Turn on your printer.
  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. This should turn off the wireless functionality.

Connect the Printer via USB:

  • Plug your printer into your computer using a USB cable.
  • Make sure your printer is powered on.

Install the Printer Drivers:

  • On your Windows 11 computer, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click on Add a printer or scanner.
  • Wait for your printer to appear in the list, then select it and click Add device.

Set the Printer as Default:

  • In the Printers & scanners section, find your HP DeskJet 3772 and click on it.
  • Click on Manage.
  • Click on Set as default.

Print a Test Page:

  • In the Printers & scanners section, click on your printer again and select Manage.
  • Click on Print a test page to ensure everything is working properly.

Disable Web Services (if applicable):

  • If your printer has web services enabled, you can disable them via the printer's embedded web server (EWS).
  • Open a web browser and enter your printer's IP address (you can find this in the printer settings or via the control panel).
  • Navigate to the Web Services or Network section and disable any web services.

If the lights are still blinking and you're unable to print, please let me know the specific lights and error messages (if any) you see on the printer. please refer this document HP DeskJet 3700 printers - Blinking lights

This did not help.  the WebServer Globe icon is still blinking orange which prevents anything from being printed other than Printer Status reports and Network Configuration reports
