Hi @Jamesperskymd,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing trouble connecting your iPhone to your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw after moving to a new location. Let's troubleshoot this:
- Check Network Connection: Make sure both your iPhone and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, after moving, devices might connect to a different network.
- Printer Settings: Ensure that your printer is turned on and connected to the Wi-Fi network properly. You might need to go through the printer's setup process again if you've changed networks.
- HP Smart App: Consider using the HP Smart app on your iPhone to connect to and manage your printer. This app can help identify and set up your printer on your iPhone.
- Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting both your iPhone and the printer can resolve connectivity issues.
- Update Software: Check if there are any software updates available for your iPhone and the HP Smart app. Keeping both updated might resolve compatibility issues. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw Software and Driver
- Manual Connection: If the automatic detection doesn't work, you can try manually adding the printer to your iPhone. To do this, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap on your Wi-Fi network, and select "Configure IP." Enter the printer's IP address and other details manually.
- Printer Firmware Update: Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP website or through the printer's control panel settings. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Forget Wi-Fi Network: On your iPhone, you can try forgetting the Wi-Fi network and reconnecting. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap on the network name, and select "Forget This Network." Then reconnect to the network and try printing again.

I hope this helps.
