Problem was fixed - see my last support request 6/24.  ConnieBiker, go to the discussion in the community.

 

The scanner isn't working (again).  The scanner doesn't appear under the system settings -> Printers & Scanners.  

I've gone back to HP Easy Start.  Easy Start always executes a driver  install (even though it's been installed already)

For Wireless: At Switch to new Driver I receive "Cannot Configure Device Software" error 

For USB cabled / USB Driver install: install completes but I receive "the scanner reported an error" report 

I restart MacBook and printer - same same

My husband has a different HP laser printer / Scanner and I see the same problems.

What has changed?  I use the scanner every month - it was working in June, July, August and now it's crapping out?  Nothing has changed on my end.  Help?

p.s. your OS select doesn't include 14.5
