Hi @AurumK ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your Hp LaserJet MFP 234sdwe is having trouble staying connected to your Wi-Fi network, and that's why it's showing as "offline" in Windows 11. The green arrow you're seeing likely means the printer is in a "waiting" or "idle" state. Here are several steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

1. Check Printer's Wi-Fi Connection

  • On the Printer's Display: Ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
    • Go to the Network Settings or Wireless Settings from the printer's control panel.
    • Look for a wireless symbol or network status, and verify that it shows a solid connection to your Wi-Fi network. If not, reconnect it.
  • Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
    • If the printer is not connected, select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password again.
    • If the printer isn't showing up on the list, try restarting your router and the printer.

2. Restart Printer and Computer

  • Power off your printer and your computer.
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then turn both back on.
  • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve network or communication issues.

3. Ensure Printer and PC Are on the Same Network

  • Check the Printer's IP Address: On the printer's display, print out a Network Configuration Page to check its current IP address. Compare it with the IP range of your computer’s network.
  • Check Network Settings on PC: Ensure that your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer. Open the Network & Internet settings on your PC and verify.

4. Reinstall or Update Printer Drivers

  • Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer Driver:
    1. Open Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners on your computer.
    2. Find your printer, click on it, and choose Remove Device.
    3. Go to the HP Support Website and download the latest driver for the LaserJet MFP 234sdwe.
    4. After installing the driver, add the printer back through Printers & Scanners by clicking Add a Printer.
  • Update Driver via Device Manager:
    1. Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
    2. Expand the Printers section.
    3. Right-click on your printer and select Update Driver.
    4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

5. Check the Print Spooler Service

  • Ensure that the Print Spooler service is running:
    1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
    2. Type services.msc and press Enter.
    3. Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
    4. Right-click on it and select Restart.
    5. If it's not running, right-click and select Start.

6. Set Printer to Online Mode

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click on your printer and select See what's printing.
  • In the new window, click on Printer in the top menu and ensure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.

7. Check for IP Address Conflicts

  • If your printer has a static IP address, make sure it doesn’t conflict with other devices on the network.
  • You can try setting your printer to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP) from the router. This is done through the printer's network settings.

8. Reset Printer's Network Settings

  • If the printer still doesn't connect properly, you might consider resetting the network settings:
    • Go to the printer's menu and find the option for Network Reset or Restore Network Defaults.
    • This will erase any saved Wi-Fi networks, so you'll need to reconnect the printer to your network afterward.

9. Check Firewall or Antivirus Settings

  • Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software on your PC can block communication with the printer.
  • Temporarily disable the firewall or antivirus and see if the printer comes online. If it does, you may need to configure the firewall or antivirus to allow communication with the printer.

10. Ensure Printer Firmware is Up to Date Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • If your printer is still not working, check if there is a firmware update available on HP’s support website. Firmware updates can fix connectivity and other bugs.nd you are facing an issue with your HP Product. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
