I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer to the internet, and the wireless icon is flashing. This usually indicates that the printer is not connected to your Wi-Fi network. Let's walk through the steps to get you reconnected:
Restart Devices
- Turn off your printer, router, and computer.
- Wait for 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
- This can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.
Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi
Use the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer:
- On the printer control panel, press the Wireless icon.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard.
If your network doesn’t appear, make sure your router is broadcasting the SSID and is within range.
Check Wireless Light
- Once connected, the wireless light should stop flashing and remain solid blue.
Print a Wireless Network Test Report
- On the printer, press the Wireless button and the Start Copy Black button at the same time.
- This will print a report that can help diagnose any remaining issues.
Update Printer Firmware (Optional but Recommended)
- Visit the HP Support page and enter your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware if available.
