@maria2214, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer to the internet, and the wireless icon is flashing. This usually indicates that the printer is not connected to your Wi-Fi network. Let's walk through the steps to get you reconnected:

Restart Devices

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer.
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
  • This can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Use the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer:

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Wireless icon.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon).
  3. Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  4. Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list.
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard.

If your network doesn’t appear, make sure your router is broadcasting the SSID and is within range.

Check Wireless Light

  • Once connected, the wireless light should stop flashing and remain solid blue.

Print a Wireless Network Test Report

  • On the printer, press the Wireless button and the Start Copy Black button at the same time.
  • This will print a report that can help diagnose any remaining issues.

Update Printer Firmware (Optional but Recommended)

  • Visit the HP Support page and enter your printer model.
  • Download and install the latest firmware if available.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
