Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am on a Dell Optiplex 9020 compact desktop PC, OS Win 10 Pro 64bit. This HP Deskjet 4155e printer that is brand spanking new out of the box. I got the printer from Office Depot yesterday. I have gone through all the setup steps for Windows pc. I also tried your HP Print and Scan Doctor program. Your diag program will not see the printer on wifi. BUT your diag program will see the printer on the USB cable and the printer works just fine on the USB cable. At 1 point your diag program was asking for the printer's IP address. I looked over that printer with a very fine tooth comb,  I couldn't fine an IP address.   I did fine a PIN number but no IP address.

@reble1

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)?
  • Did you make any changes to your printer?

While you respond to that, let's restore network settings to default settings:

Once it's done try connecting to the network.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
