Hi @ozzy1510

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw printer is showing as "busy" when you try to print from a new Android mobile device, there are several steps you can take to resolve the issue:

1. Check Printer Status and Connectivity

  • Printer Status: Ensure that the printer is powered on and not in any error state (like a paper jam or low toner).
  • Network Connection: Verify that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device. A mismatch in networks can cause communication issues.

2. Restart Devices

  • Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart Android Device: Restart your Android phone or tablet to clear any temporary glitches.

3. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • Go to the printer’s control panel, select Network Setup, and then Wireless Setup Wizard to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Make sure that the Wi-Fi signal is strong and there are no network issues.

4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve compatibility issues with new devices.
  • You can update the firmware through the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.

5. Clear Print Queue

  • If the printer's print queue has pending jobs, it may appear busy. Use the HP Smart app on your Android device to check the print queue and clear any stuck jobs.

6. Reinstall Printer on Android Device

  • Remove the printer from your Android device:
    • Open the HP Smart app or Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Find your printer in the list, then select it and choose Remove or Forget.
  • Re-add the printer:
    • Open the HP Smart app and select Add Printer to rediscover and connect to your printer.

7. Print from Another Device

  • Try printing from another device (another Android phone, a Windows PC, etc.) to see if the problem is specific to your new Android device.

8. Check HP Print Service Plugin

  • Make sure the HP Print Service Plugin is installed and up-to-date on your Android device:
    • Go to Google Play Store, search for HP Print Service Plugin, and install or update it if necessary.
    • Open the plugin and make sure it’s enabled and the printer is selected.

9. Factory Reset Printer

If none of the above steps work, consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Please note that this will reset all settings:

  • Settings > Service > Restore Defaults.

Refer to this document: HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
