Common problems for Connectivity Issues

It sounds like your printer is connected to Wi-Fi (solid blue light) but isn't communicating properly with your computer. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

 

1. Restart Everything

  • Power cycle your printer, router, and computer.
  • Unplug the printer for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Restart your router and computer to refresh the connection.

 

2. Check Network Connection

  • Ensure your printer and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • If you have a dual-band router, make sure both devices are on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz, not mixed.

 

3. Remove & Re-add the Printer

  • Go to SettingsDevicesPrinters & Scanners.
  • Remove the printer, then click Add a printer to reconnect it.

 

4. Run HP’s Troubleshooter

 

5. Check Firewall & Antivirus Settings

  • Sometimes, security software blocks printer communication.
  • Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus and try printing again.
