Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your printer is connected to Wi-Fi (solid blue light) but isn't communicating properly with your computer. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
1. Restart Everything
- Power cycle your printer, router, and computer.
- Unplug the printer for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Restart your router and computer to refresh the connection.
2. Check Network Connection
- Ensure your printer and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- If you have a dual-band router, make sure both devices are on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz, not mixed.
3. Remove & Re-add the Printer
- Go to Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners.
- Remove the printer, then click Add a printer to reconnect it.
4. Run HP’s Troubleshooter
- HP has a Wi-Fi troubleshooting guide that can help identify connection issues.
5. Check Firewall & Antivirus Settings
- Sometimes, security software blocks printer communication.
- Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus and try printing again.
If the issue persists, let me know what happens at each step, and we’ll dig deeper!
