HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 11

I have talked to 4 tech support persons in last 3days. So, I have several case numbers. None could solve problem and finally disconnected our remote access. The printer indicated that it was off-line. Print and scan said I have a network printer (offline) and the same printer is listed but not as a network printer. I only have one printer but I have now attempted to use both that are listed in Print and Scan. Printer continues to act like it wants to print something every minute.  Ethernet is connected to back of desktop and Infinity router.  I'm using a Wifi connection on my desktop. There is no Wifi connection for the Printer, just a power cord. I have to unplug the power cord until I need to print, then plug it back in when I need a copy.I am unable to sign in to either accounts, as I don't have a cell phone. They text me codes that I have no way to receive. The message I keep getting when I try to connect is 'This email account you are using is associated with another email account. Go to your account and change it. When I do, it gives me the same message.  I changed the password and it was accepted, but it won't allow me to use either of my email addresses which I've never had a problem with.   My Word documents stopped going from page to page now appear as one continuous scrolling document.  I need it to appear page by page so I can use title pages on each page. I can't order ink because My HP Account kicks me oubecause of email address.

Hi @mr7G-L1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is attempting to print every minute without any print job being sent to the print queue, it could be an indication of a problem with the printer's settings or hardware. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart the printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve many printer-related issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check the printer's settings: Go to the printer's control panel or web interface and make sure that there are no print jobs stuck in the queue. Also, check if the printer's default settings are configured correctly.
  • Update the printer driver: An outdated or corrupted printer driver can cause various issues, including the printer attempting to print without any print job. Visit the HP website and download the latest driver for your printer model.
  • Reset the printer: If restarting the printer and updating the driver did not resolve the issue, try resetting the printer to its default settings. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to reset the printer.

It's important to note that some HP printers have a feature called "HP Instant Ink" that automatically orders new ink cartridges when the printer detects that it is running low on ink. If you have this feature enabled, it could be the reason why the printer is attempting to print without any print job. In this case, you may want to disable the feature or ensure that your printer has enough ink to print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
