i never set up a password and i cannot restore settings without it. the manual did not explain how to restore factory settings. the printer is offline in the app. none of your solutions help

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer is offline in the app and you're having trouble restoring factory settings without a password, here’s a general method to try.
Hard Reset: Perform a hard reset by unplugging the printer from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in. This often resets the printer's settings and may bring it back online.
Control Panel Reset:
- On the printer's control panel, go to Settings.
- Look for Printer Maintenance or Setup options.
- There should be an option for Restore Factory Defaults or Reset. If prompted for a password, try leaving it blank or enter "0000" as some printers default to this.
