My printer has worked perfectly with my Macbook Pro OS 11.6.  Wednesday night I printed a letter with no problem. Thursday morning and onward when I try to print the printer starts spewing out mostly blank pages but a few with one or a few lines of coding. This will continue until the paper tray is empty or until I interrupt it.  I've unplugged the printer, disconnected and reconnected the wifi, and tried to follow some directions on the hp site but the result is the same.
