Hi @GW65,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Officejet Pro 8610 E-All-In-One printer is having trouble connecting to the network, here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

May I know

1. Since when are you facing this issue

2. Have you made any changes on your printer post that this issue raised and have you observed any light blinking on the display and error code

1. Check Network and Printer Connections

  • Network Check: Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly. Other devices should be able to connect to it.
  • Printer Check: Ensure the printer is powered on and in range of your Wi-Fi network.

2. Restart Devices

  • Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Router: Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
  • Computer/Device: Restart the computer or device you are trying to print from.

3. Verify Network Settings

  • Wi-Fi Settings: Make sure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Check if the printer’s Wi-Fi is enabled.
  • SSID and Password: Ensure that you are using the correct SSID (network name) and password.

4. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download Tool: Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. This tool can automatically detect and fix many network and connection issues.

5. Reconfigure Network Settings on Printer

  • Wireless Setup Wizard: On the printer’s control panel, go to the Setup menu, select Network, then Wireless Setup Wizard, and follow the prompts to reconnect to your network.

6. Update Firmware and Drivers Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Firmware Update: Check for any firmware updates for your printer on the HP website and install them.
  • Driver Update: Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Download the latest drivers from the HP website.

7. Reset Network Settings

  • Restore Network Defaults: On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Network menu, select Restore Network Defaults, and confirm. Then, try reconnecting the printer to your network.

8. Check for IP Address Conflicts

  • Static IP: Assign a static IP address to your printer to avoid IP conflicts. This can be done through your router’s settings.

9. Advanced Troubleshooting

  • Firewall/Security Settings: Ensure that your firewall or security software is not blocking the printer.
  • Router Settings: Check your router’s settings to ensure it is not blocking the printer’s connection (e.g., MAC address filtering).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
