Selecting anything to do with print since we moved house locks up my system. Even Windows settings so I cannot reselect a default printer (eg print to pdf) Aargh!
Network printer wizard says settings are locked, and there is no way I can find to hard reset the printer (there is no resume/reset button I can find)
Unfortunately with the time I am wasting unless I find a solution soon I will just throw away this printer and buy another brand.

Hi @Oskar99,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having a frustrating experience with your HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 after moving to a new location and changing your internet service. Before you decide to toss the printer, let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue:
- Power Cycle the Printer: Sometimes, a simple power cycle can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute or two, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check Network Settings: Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network settings match those of your new internet service. You may need to access the printer's control panel or web interface to verify and update the settings if necessary.
- Factory Reset: If you're unable to access the printer settings or network configuration, try performing a factory reset on the printer. This will reset all settings to their default values. You can usually find instructions for performing a factory reset in the printer's user manual.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates can sometimes address connectivity issues and improve overall performance. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's control panel or the HP website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Reinstall Printer Drivers: If you're still experiencing issues after trying the above steps, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers on your computer.
