Screen on ENVy 4520 printer just shows Languages but just goes to sleep when I press start button.

If your HP ENVY 4520 printer is stuck on the language selection screen and goes to sleep when you press the start button, try the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Power Cycle the Printer:

    • Turn off the printer using the power button.
    • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
    • Wait for about 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it back on.
  2. Hard Reset:

    • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
    • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    • Wait for about 60 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and reconnect it to the printer.
    • Turn on the printer and see if the issue persists.
  3. Check for Firmware Updates:

    • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date by visiting the HP support website and checking for the latest updates for your HP ENVY 4520 printer model.
  4. Restart Printer Setup:

    • If the printer is still not responding, attempt to restart the initial printer setup through the control panel and follow the on-screen instructions.
