i am trying to set up my hp envy printer which my grandma gave to me, so it has been set up in the past. i have downloaded the software and it wants me to print out a page off the web service page that has a code but it prints out a blank page. it says the ink levels are fine and it wont let us open the top to check it is stiff and i dont want to force it open.

If the printer is not used lately, the ink could have dried up and it has to be replaced.

 

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Skip the steps to turn on web services/eprint and access the home screen of the printer.

 

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Clean the ink cartridges up to 2 times, print a quality page to check the result.

 

Check for any obstructions or damages. 

 

Kindly follow the steps mentioned in -  Replacing Ink Cartridges

 

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a mechanical failure. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
