Hi @norx,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Smart Tank 519 is printing slowly, here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.
- Check Print Quality Settings: Go to the printer properties and ensure that the print quality is set to "Normal" or "Draft" rather than "Best" or "High." High-quality settings can slow down printing.
- Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can check for updates on HP's website or through the HP Smart app.
- Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that could be affecting the print speed.
- Clean the Printheads: Use the printer's built-in cleaning utility to clean the printheads. This can sometimes improve print speed if the heads are clogged.
- Network Connection: If you’re printing over a network, ensure your connection is stable. A weak or intermittent network connection can affect printing speed.
- Printer Firmware: Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates can sometimes improve performance.
- Printer Queue: Make sure there are no stuck or pending print jobs in the printer queue that might be causing delays.
- Printer Settings: In the HP Smart app or printer settings, check if there are any options that might be set to optimize print speed or reduce quality, which could affect performance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
